Participants of the CEMLO project from the Grammar School "Fran Galović" Koprivnica visited Osijek Vojakovački. First they got an introductory tour by the local Mr. Zoran Vitanović where they walked through the village and he introduced them to the characteristics of the local terrain. After that students started making land art by using only natural resources under the mentorship of their teacher Iva Bolfek. Here you can see their works. This was a preparation workshop for the main activity which is going to happen during the mobility of partner schools from Turkey, Italy, Lithuania and Slovenia which our school is going to host. The mobility is expected to happen in spring 2021. Our CEMLO project coordinator (teacher Zoran Pintarić) helped with the logistics of this workshop. On the 11th of December 2019 on the occasion of the International Mountain Day there was an exhibition about mountains. The exhibition was set up on the first floor of our school from the 11th to the 12th of December. CEMLO project participants did not only celebrate the International Mountain Day, but they also learned how to take high quality photos in nature. Nera Vrtiprah, 2.g
Participants of the CEMLO project from the Grammar School "Fran Galović" Koprivnica set off on the 13th of March 2020 to explore Kalnik. Despite the bad weather they managed to capture the historical and natural beauty of Kalnik. Here you can see their final result. Bruno Dević, 2.g Here you can see where Kalnik is locatedOn march 10th 2020, the mathematical and biological team of the CEMLO project performed measurements in the Special forest vegetation reserve Dugačko brdo. Sabina Horvat and Marko Antonio Cug with Prof. Njerš measured and calculated the height of the beeches in the forest. Marko Antonio made a clinometer to measure the angle at which a tree can be seen. By simple mathematical calculations (trigonometric ratios) they got that tree height range is from 23 m to 48 m. We estimated that because of uneven terrain and different readings on the clinometer, the height of the tree probably does not exceed 45 m. Ennio David Komljenović, Lovro Ujlaki, Ivana Treščec and Petra Ketiš with prof. Samardžić calculated the share of woody species by age groups on an area of 2500m². The dominant species on this area is beech. Petra Ketiš, 2.g Here you can see where Dugovačko brdo is located |
